Fig Sandwich

All you need for an extraordinary and exceptionally delicious fig sandwich is a sandwich maker or a waffle maker. And of course Snøfrisk®.

Ingredients
  • 2 Servings
  • 4 slices of good bread
  • 125 g Snøfrisk® Natural or Snøfrisk® Red Onion and Thyme
  • 8 dried figs
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying
Here is how you do it

Grease all the slices of bread with Snøfrisk®. Cut the figs into thin slices and place them on two of the bread slices, pour over the honey and sprinkle with chopped rosemary and salt and pepper. Place the other two slices of bread on top with the greased side faced downwards. 

Roast in a hot waffle iron (or sandwich maker) by placing the sandwich in the middle and squeezing the iron together. Remember to grease the iron with oil before adding the sandwich. Roast until golden and crispy.
