Waffles with Snøfrisk®

I have a fondness for cream cheese. I use it whenever I can, in sandwiches, in cooking or like here, when making a delicious snack in the form of crispy waffles topped with Snøfrisk®, cold-smoked salmon and cress – Recipe by Linnéa Seidel from linneasskafferi.se.

  • 350 ml wheat flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • butter


  • cold-smoked salmon slices
  • cress
  • radishes
  • pea shoots
  • Snøfrisk® Wild Garlic
Here is how you do it

Waffles: Combine the flour and milk. Stir until you have a smooth consistency. Then add the water, eggs, baking powder and salt. Leave the batter to stand and thicken for 15 minutes. Next heat up a waffle iron, grease with a little butter and cook the waffles. Leave to cool on a rack, so they retain their crispiness.

Topping: Spread thickly with Snøfrisk® cream cheese and add a topping of your choice. I love the combination of Snøfrisk® Wild Garlic, salmon and cress, while young tender radishes and pea shoots taste heavenly with the Red Onion & Thyme variety. The Chanterelle variety is just perfect with no added extras!
